Air Blast & Adiabatic Coolers

Prokool are pleased to represent Transtherm Cooling Industries and their products in the UK and offer a range of dry air blast coolers and adiabatic coolers all manufactured in the UK since 1989. Covering thermal load applications from 30 kW to 10,000 kW, including installation &  design services, pumps, control systems and filtration.

Dry Air Blast Coolers

Air blast coolers are used for a wide range of commercial and industrial cooling applications where single units can provide cooling capacity from 5 kW to 4,000 kW and cool within 3°C of the prevailing ambient temperature all year round.

All orders are bespoke and manufactured to order with multiple cooler orientations available including v-bank, horizontal and vertical flatbed designs. This flexibility allows easy installation depending on the cooling plant specification.

Adiabatic Coolers

Adiabatic coolers are the modern alternative to traditional cooling towers offering efficient performance with lower maintenance costs. These units have been specifically designed to involve UV sterilisation as standard and deliver great performance in both adiabatic and dry mode.

All orders are bespoke and manufactured to order with multiple cooler orientations available including v-bank, horizontal and vertical flatbed designs. This flexibility allows easy installation depending on the cooling plant specification.

More Information:

  • Low legionella risk with no ongoing chemical treatment or registration with local authorities needed.
  • Minimal water consumption as units only works in wet mode for typically 3% of the year consuming around 1% of the water used by traditional cooling towers.
  • UV system is extremely effective at killing all known strains of legionella at 99.999+%. In the event of a fault, the system either shuts down or activates the back up UV system sending both analogue and digital fault signals.
  • Spray nozzles are specifically designed to prevent high risk aerosols being emitted whilst moisture is evenly evaporated for maximum efficiency.
  • The British Health & safety executive (HSE) has confirmed it is satisfied with the safety features and adiabatic system operation provides very effective management of legionella risk.
